NCBC Car Free and Car Lite Challenge!

I will commit to eliminating at least one single-occupancy vehicle (SOV) trip a week. Check any travel options you already do or are willing to try in order to eliminate at least one or more SOV tripes a week.

Bicycle Already Do
Times per Week
Willing to Try
Bicycling: Bicycling is an extremely energy efficient and environmentally friendly form of transportation. Recreational bike riding is a safe, low-impact, aerobic activity for people of all ages.
Walk/Jog Already Do
Times per Week
Willing to Try
Walking: One car in five travels less than a kilometer. An average person can walk 1 km in 10 minutes. Walking is a great form of exercise than helps tone muscles and improves your cardiovascular health. You also save money on parking and gas, an additional benefit!
Carpool/Vanpool Already Do
Times per Week
Willing to Try
Carpooling: Carpooling with one additional person in your car immediately reduces emissions by half and saves money. Add another person or two ... and the benefits increase.
Public Transportation Already Do
Times per Week
Willing to Try
Transit: Let someone else do the driving as you take the opportunity to read the paper, chat with your co-workers, catch some sleep or just watch the world go by.
Telecommute Already Do
Times per Week
Willing to Try
Telecommuting: Advancing technology is making it easier to work from home using the Internet, fax and phone. Telecommuting is one way for workers to save travel time and employers to save office space.
