Napa Bike is member-supported in every way. Our annual budget currently covers one part-time position. There is a lot to do in order to make an impact on our goals, and so we rely on volunteers to cover many of the essential tasks. Whether your interest is with advocacy, fund-raising, membership outreach, or planning special events, we welcome your help.
Valet Bike Parking
We provide free bike parking at community events around the county. You will see us at the Napa Chef's Market every Thursday night during the summer. Last year we averaged more than 40 bikes per night, which meant at least 20 fewer cars adding to the traffic congestion (most folks arrive in pairs, nice!). It's a fun event to be part of, whether you help by checking in bikes or just hanging out making sure they are secure, your assistance will be most appreciated.
We provide this service at many other community events, from Earth Day celebrations to charity bike rides. It's one of the many small ways we work to make Napa County a more bicycle friendly community. Volunteer by sending us an email and then join in the fun!
We're working with the Napa Valley Clean Air Coalition and the Napa County Office of Education to put on two special Kidical Mass events this year to help get kids and families excited about cycling together. It is a family-friendly, law-abiding ride whose purpose is to teach kids, parents, and caregivers safety skills, and then provide a ride in which to practice those skills. If you want to be a part of this special event in Napa and American Canyon, send us an email to volunteer.
